Is Technology Limiting Creativity?

 Hey,

        According to the topic my opinion is “NO”; Technology is not a hindrance towards creativity. Rather, it acts as a support system in developing creative ideas and mindset within the young masses. If we compare the present-day scenarios with the past when technological advancements were much lesser we can clearly see the difference. Many people with thousands of ideas were not able to convert those ideas into reality just because of a lack of means to do so. But when the World is moving at such a fast pace towards modernity, we need ideas to be transformed into reality. And technology provides us with the tools to do so.

      And if we think of it in this way, is not the technology itself a child of creativity? All the hi-tech stuff we see around ourselves, is not that a product of someone’s creative imagination? Starting from Computers to Space stations, from Automobiles to Aircrafts every single thing which we consider as technology, is an outcome of a creative and inquisitive mind. So it is safe to say that creativity and technology go hand in hand. The existence of technology is because of creativity. And Creativity alone is crippled without technology. Just think once how all things became changed, in past, for any information we had to wait for many days to know the news but just imagine the recent days within a second we can collect all the information or else we can able to see and interact with the people who are staying very far from you and it only possible just because of someone’s creative ideas and imagination. And technology doesn’t limit imagination.

      Let’s take an example “Social Media”, nowadays social media has become an inseparable part of everyone’s life. It is the virtual world where we can just surf through the entire World and see what is happening just while sitting within our homes. But is that it? No, Social media provides everyone with a platform to showcase their talent and creativity in front of the whole world. Suppose someone’s good at writing but is not able to get his works published. Social media provides him with the opportunity to exhibit his works to the world at large. I just want to share my experience that I have just very much interest in Arts and Crafts, I do wine bottle paintings, glass paintings etc. but only to showcase in my own home but after joining Digital Marketing Course m also interested to sell my own products that I made and created a page in Facebook, Instagram, etc. And I posted the pictures of my Glass bottle paintings and suddenly my most of the products were sold by some of my friends. Social Media is a big platform for everyone to show their inner talents.

     Technology therefore is not just a thing of luxury or comfort. It is truly a guide for the people who have the right kind of mindset and are creative through to use it wisely. Technology is present and technology is the future itself. Gone are the days when people used to seek or wait for opportunities to achieve success. Technology provides opportunities to everyone at their doorsteps. And people should be wise and creative enough to grasp those opportunities.
